Hewlett Packard (HP) M820e Driver. This works in Win2000. The instructions are in Japanese (the driver comes from Japanese manufacturers' site at www.kme.panasonic.co.jp/kikusui/ja/win2k/win2k.htm), but all you have to do is run the executable in a suitable folder to unzip the file and folders. Then insert the PC-card connected to the CD-Writer, wait for Windows to ask you the location of the SCSI drivers, choose the "win2k" folder in the folder where you unzipped the files, and let Windows do the rest. If you want to burn CDs, you'll still need Adaptec's software patch for Easy CD you can get from their site. DirectCD isn't Windows2000 compatible yet.
