Sony Electronics CDU311 Driver. I was given this file with the Sony CDU311 8X, once unzipping / opening the file (just double click)you need to copy all of the files onto a floppy disk with a subdirectory called sony_8X if it didnt do this already. Use Wininstall.exe. The main file ATAPI_CD.SYS is hidden, so find it using explorer and copy from the search results box onto your floopy disk into the subdirectory.
File Contents: By trial and error trying to install it you can make sure all of the files are either in the main or subdirectory on the A drive floppy disk.
Make sure though after installing it all of the refernece to your previous Cd rom are deleted in the Autoexec and config.sys files, (I couldnt print from MSdospromt so I had to use print screen and copy the program listing into a word proceesor and then print out, haveing a copy of the unamanded files is very useful)
