Comments:
Hewlett Packard (HP) 7200i Driver. The CDR Drive works as a CD Drive with no additional drivers than what is provided with Windows. This program utilizes the CDR Drive properly to burn CDs. If your computer stalls up or freezes whenever you insert a disk, open you control panel and open system. Click device manager. Double click CD-Rom and double click CD WRITER+ 7200.Click setting and make sure that the only ones selected are Disconnect and Auto Insert Notification. Make sure DMA is NOT checked, this drive does not support DMA. Click ok twice and then restart your computer. If DMA was checked your CDR should work now. If it still locks up your drive is running as a slave and needs to be set as the master drive. Refer to a local Computer Repair shop for instructions or even better, have them perform the operation for you.
